So its been 6 weeka since i applied for my wifes spouse visa and havent heard nothing etc
How long did u have to wait to get your documents back

Since i put the application in my employer went bust but i gained a new job after 4 days so i earnt 30k last year so way over the threshhold if they check on my tax paid i will be ok if they call employer i may have an issue

Bit worried but if it is rejected because my employer went bust can i appeal saying i gained new employment after 4 days

It was a full (calendar) month for us, between UKVI receiving our documents - fiance(e) Visa application - and me receiving them back... and 31 working days between submitting the online VAF4A and UKVI acknowledging its receipt!
That was during March/April and looking at the down-turn in the %age of decided applications (70% down to 60%) within the UKVI 'target' of 60 working days, the 'trend' is only going to go in one direction!

As long as your new employment is above the threshhold you will be fine. People change jobs all the time

Whilst they may check with the new employer about job status they will look at historical wages paid versus bank statements

Dont worry, if they call and check (they will see that the company went bust- its not your fault so they cant hold that against you) so their next step is to contact you for an evidence that you still have a job. You can give the home office an updated hr stuff (even a contract if you have it since its still recent, and there will be no payroll cert etc). I suggedt keeping copy of recent employment related stuff you will have handy just in case you get that call /email.
