    Normal holidays for like one or two months are okay so don't worry about it. As far as I know from the other forum you are not allowed to be out of the country half of your time allowed to stay in the UK because the UKVI will think that you are not making the UK as your primary residence.

    Yeah I know 1 or 2 months would be fine but I'm looking for something a bit more concrete as in what's the maximum or the main conditions of the visa regarding leaving re-entering the UK ??

    It used to be 2 years max... then would have to come up with a very good excuse, or reapply for the visa.
    A few months is fine. My first Mrs and I used to be away in the Phils for several months each year.

    I would urge you to check with the appropriate govt website though, for the latest rules.

    Oh God we have answered this question many times here on the forum and I always forget when someone brings the subject up again :)

    I know one thing, you have to list every trip outside the UK you have had in the last five years when you are applying for the ILR.

    180 days per year is ringing a bell (3 months max at a time), you can of course have extended periods of time outside the UK for looking after a elderly relative during illness for example, this has to be evidenced. If you had a job that took you out of the UK you are allowed more days, letter from employer would be needed for UKVI.

    Below is for once you have the ILR;
