I am confused about a question on my spouse visa application from the Philippines to UK. It asks Are you a national of the country in which you are applying? (Are you a national of the country in which you are making your visa application?) Yes No Does this mean I'm I a national of the country in which I am applying. In which case it would be Yes I am a nation from the Philippines. or Does this mean I am a national of the country in which I am applying. I am applying to the UK and I am not a national. Confusing question? Thanks in advance.
Clearly you are not a British National. If you were, you would not need a visa. The question is asking whether you are a national of the country (where you are right now) when making your application. If you are making your application from the Philippines, it wants to know whether you are a national of the Philippines.
welcome to the forum @Rita0802 ---feel free to ask any questions--the answers will be helpful to other readers too.
Thanks for the help. Yes I was thinking that @ChoiAndJohn just wanted to make sure. Can you advise if we need SU07/12? I am applying as a spouse not a grandparent, parent or other depended ? Im sure I dont need the SU07/12 but want to check for sure.
I'm unsure about the Spouse / Partner section under Family Details. Is that my information or my husbands. I can see under it it asks for Father and Mother, Children. Im just unsure if its is my information to go in spouse or my husbands. Screenshot attached.
thats a tricky one--i'm not exactly sure--as we filled out for "fiancee" not spouse. is your husband philipino ?
i see you put philipino on that screen shot. best see what others say----ideally someone else who applied for a spouse visa recently. @ChoiAndJohn --?
It's important to remember that all the writing in this form are to be filled in "as the filipino applicant" and that this form I'd intended to cover a variety of situations. It asks for your spouse details who is British and who happens to be your sponsor. So put them in there.
That spouse/partner is confusing many, ì have put my name on the spouse part, hope i not maded a mistake, has would need start again doh.
