    You don't need anything notarised, you need to send original documents.

    A copy of your passport can be certified as genuine, but that's the only thing. Getting it certified is a lot cheaper than notarised.

    If you are thinking of doing a fiance visa, make sure all bank statements are set to receive paper statements as online ones are not acceptable.

    hi--welcome to the site.

    do NOT apply for the fiancee visa untill your fiancee has her IELTS results--about 3 weeks wait. also---MOST important--her TB certificate. without those 2 youre burning your money.

    the biometrics are done on the day when she hands everything in at VFS.

    only your passport is to be copied---and verified by a solicitor. everything else must be the original---plus a copy of each.

    lots of papers to send !

    Welcome @mark barrow! I agree with @bigmac. If you are thinking of applying for a fiance visa then have your lady take the IELTS first and TB test before anything else. Also ask her to get a copy of her CENOMAR or certificate of no marriage online or any office of the National Statistics Office. The rest of the needed docs will then come from you - bank statements mailed to you by bank, payslips, employment contract/certificate of employment, proof of accommodation, proof of relationship, etc. Easy to get overwhelmed but important to read and digest what's on the gov.uk website. And feel free to reach out if you have any additional questions.

    You only need Cenomar if you are doing the Priority Service.

    Start with the language test. Then the TB test. Then get all the documents done, then pay the fee.

    Good luck!

    When my then girlfriend, now my wife, took the English test, last year, she thought she had failed, and broke down and cried during the speaking test. At which point, she passed, because she did so in English!

    If you get married in the Philippines then you will be applying for a UK spouse visa, whichever route you go (spouse/fiancée) the requirements are the same.

    I always guide people who are new to the visa requirements to the link below;
