Still cannot believe it.

In about 3 days it will be the third anniversary of Jet arriving to the Uk, and I still cannot believe how lucky I have been to have found her.

She fills my life with joy and happiness, and my stomach with fantastically cooked food.

She is the most accomplished cook and so quick to learn new things.
I am quite a dab hand mayself in the kitchen as I in the past used to work as a chef in a couple of places, but Jet, with her quick imagination, is way ahead of me.
I don't show her how to do things, but she hovers unobtrusively around me, until she picked the most important points, and after a few days she reproduces it better than me.....

Besides, her Filipino cooking is excellent.

Cake baking is a dream.... Bibinka, apple and Banan cakes, chocolate fondants, Leche flan, chocolate bibinka, pan de sal............. Too many to mention.

No wonder I am putting on excessive weight....:shock

Ah Dom and Jet I wish I had read this thread before we met last Sunday as I would have had many many questions :D

I love cooking too and I am interested in Filipino recipes as well as many others, Ana is a great cook she proved that to me the couple of times she was here in the UK (about 5 months in total) like you say with Jet Dom, my Ana took some of my ideas and came up with some really good variations but she also has some great ideas and traditional recipes of her own.

Ana would have loved Jet's Sushi, I can tell just by looking ;) :D yummmm!

oops: also congrats on three years together in the UK good on ya both!

Dom, congrats to Jet and yourself!!
Sean, maybe if you create a 'recipe' section, we could persuade Dom and Jet to put some on for us!! :like::hiding:

Now I was thinking exactly the same thing but then I thought it would be a good idea to check and hey presto, Sean, Dom and Rob had thought of this already! I made a couple of comments on the recipe section already, I only discovered it tonight Alan :D

Wish it was 30 degrees here sir :)

Oh dear  just realised that we are in the "recipes and ideas section" hahahahaha
