Finally submitted my documents for fiancée visa here in VFS Singapore, I paid for Priority Service, so 10 working days countdown begins! Whew, I think those papers weighed more than 5kg, it was really heavy . I organized it well , aside from the list of contents on top, each section lists what are the papers included, so no reason for the ECO to get lost . Another good news is my mum got her visit visa last week! We also paid priority service and got her visa after 4 days, she is with me now in Singapore then will fly together to UK once I got my visa. At first I was worried coz she is unemployed and just a plain housewife all her life with no property and bank account whatsoever. I think UKVI just want to know if the visit trip is well funded, as they stated in their new guidance notes that do not submit flight booking, travel insurance, etc. So we just submitted my fiancé bank account and my bank account as her sponsors, the provisional booking of the wedding and a cover letter from my fiancé confirming that we want her to attend our wedding and that she will stay in our house.
Hello everyone! I am ecstatic to the highest level!! I got my fiancée visa today, just in time, on my last day of work! After going crazy checking my email everyday looking for UKVI usual email of "a decision has been made", I did not receive that email, instead I got an email from VFS that my passport will be delivered tomorrow. So most probably I got the decision after 5th working day then sent back to VFS Singapore on 6th day, the day I received their email. I was supposed to receive my passport yesterday but the courier guy didn't bother to ask how he can get in to our bldg and left immediately . So I had to call the courier and they rescheduled the delivery today. This morning my mum patiently waited for him at the gate so he has no reason to escape . That added to the suspense. I must say that the expensive priority visa fee is worth it as I got the visa and my passport back before the 10th day. I also highly recommend that if you have a bachelor degree, just have your qualification assessed by UK NARIC, it is cheaper and no more hassle in booking and taking the IELTS exam. I am very happy that my mum will fly with me to attend my wedding, we will fly next week as my visa validity date is 16th Aug. I also don't need to attend the CFO seminar Thank you very much to everyone who took their time to answer my questions here and those who shared their visa application experience, it helped me a lot when I was still preparing my documents. I'm excited to meet all of you next gathering!
Oh my gosh!! As in, oh my gosh!! I'm so happy for you and congratulations @missQT I feel like crying! Haha
Thank you everyone, we are already here in Pontefract anyone lives near here? I'm excited to meet new friends. I also want to ask what insurance I can have while on fiancée visa as I am not covered by NHS yet right? We will be travelling a lot as we want to tour mum around.
