Lol Markham. Omg I've just realised that the amount of money I said I had on the finance form doesn't match the amount in my bank because I have some in shares but I didn't state that. Have I done it wrong?? There's about £12k difference between the two figures. Will this matter?
As you're not relying on savings, I'd be surprised if it will make a difference and I suspect there'd be less chance of that if you under-declared the amount(s).
But it says on the form "please give full details". I should have stated what was in the bank and what is in shares. And I think we are going on savings :/
BTW do we just hear nothing now until the decision is made? He gave the info for email and sms updates - do they actually send any? Or only once it's all done?
They text you to say that the papers are with UKBA. Then nothing until a decision is made. They may contact you in between, if they choose to call for additional information. But that isnt the norm.
As I mentioned in your messages, I left it a week before I emailed them using the messaging system on the VFO website - they confirmed that it had been received at the embassy but had not been looked at by an ECO. After that it was 10 days before the ECO emailed about the deferral - you could assume from that that if our application had been 100% successful we could have had the visa granted in less than 3 weeks, but of course this is UKBA and its The Philippines so its best not to assume anything!! Im afraid that time for you - like me will now be in slow motion - especially during the long sleepless nights with only the shopping channels for company
