    Thank you, fortunately we're on the west coast of Leyte which doesn't, normally, get hit too hard.

    Yes, a possible doomsday event for my wife too... fortunately in the end, as normally happens here, it was a bit of rain and wind.

    But it does highlight some underlying problems PAGASSA have: 1 They communicate in a way that most Filipinos cannot understand and 2 They're prediction model is poor and 3 I assume, and I'm sure @Mattecube will correct me if I'm wrong or being too cynical :D, most of the people who work there probably didn't get their jobs on merit.
