As you can guess WE are in Swindon,
I have been married to my wife Luzviminda for 33 years we met when I was based in Hong Kong for 3 years with the RAF, She was a school teacher in Angeles, Pampanga.

She came to the UK in 1983 and has been here ever since. ( apart from 5 years in Germany with the RAF)

We go home to the Philippines most years and are only limited ny holiday time as we will not go for less than 3 weeks as its not worth it ( both of us work)

From 2008-2011 I worked in Makati so Luz had a nice holiday for 3 years.

We have just booked to go home on MAlaysian Airlines next march....

We dont go to many Barrio Fiestas in the UK now, we just find them vastly over priced for a portion of adobo ( which Luz makes better at home) and we tend not to mix with the Filipino Community to much as there seems to be a lot of boastfulness and one upmanship going on. How some Filipinos can be in the UK for a couple of years and are then driving BMW's and Audis shocks me, I guess they like loans and credit cards or is it just to send photos home and say 'look at me?'
We have never fallen into that trap.

Luz has several Filipina friends in Swindon she has known for 30 + years and they are the faithful ones to stick with.

THats us we are happy with our family, jobs, and Grandson

    Welcome aboard.:welcome:

It is nice to encounter a veteran............;)

My wife, learnt, early enough, to stick with a few trusted friends, that don't have or display an air of superiority.
All in all, a nice bunch......
In fact, the "barkada" is very strict in letting newbies in too quickly...
I am starting to think that they have some kind of vetting going on..... Diba?
