    Hi everyone,
I am a mother of two young children, married to british citizen. We have just moved here from the UAE after 4 years living overseas. I have a 5 year family visit visa, under type C. It was given 2014 in Ankara Turkey, as we were still in `azerbaijan at that time. We arrived August this year. My problem now is switching from my current visa to spouse visa. My husband works offshore and I am the only person who looks after our kids when he is away. I phoned the UKVI and was told I can only apply for spouse visa in the Philippines.
That only complicates things, my son has just started school.
Is there any other option for me to remain the UK? How about derivative rights of residence?
if there is no other way, and I have to travel back to the Phil., how long would it take to get the decision? I am very anxious on taking this path as of whats going on with the delays of aplications made with UKVI, i can't be away from my kids in indefinite period of time.

Has anyone here went through the same situation? what would be the best thing to do?
