Just a quick note to advise that temporary email accounts will be blocked and new signups banned if using one. These email accounts are mostly used by spammers, so if you are a genuine internet user we advise you to get a Gmail, Hotmail or similar account.
wow! cant believe that there is such a thing! I believe those people who gets 'temporary' email account is up to no good :beat::badpc:
I use my own domain for personal email, except for forums and websites I don't trust where I use, ahem, Yahoo disposable email addresses. These work differently from the services Kuya is highlighting. Basically at your Yahoo email account, you create a basename lets say, sheep, and then add a dash - and a second part for different id's. So for example, if I was to subscribe to a dodgy sheep website, the email address would come in the format sheep-dodgy @ yahoo . All emails for that email would go into your normal Yahoo inbox, and then if it gets spammed, just delete that second part, and all emails would bounce, all the while your normal Yahoo inbox is clean.
I use three email accounts, Yahoo (think I have used it a few times, though it is mainly for messenger), Hotmail and Gmail. I like the way Hotmail and Gmail intergrate with my android phone so I can keep up with stuff like a text. But these temporary email accounts are for the user to never get any contact from whatever they use it to sign up to, hence the user is a little suspect to begin with..
The disposable email addresses Kuya mention can be created in 2 clicks, but it takes a lot more effort and hassle with the likes of Yahoo, Hotmail or Gmail as they often require one or more stages of authentication like captcha, text message, etc.. I'm sure most spammers don't bother anymore, instead spammers simply forge senders email address, by using randomly generated usernames, sometimes they get lucky and the email address might exist, and hope people are stupid enough to read these spammy emails. My personal email domain is hosted at Tuffmail and I get a daily log of all deliveries, spam and rejected email, and I often see a pattern of email senders hotpotato1@hotmail , hotpotato2@yahoo , etc. Only the determined small time spammer will spend hours opening new accounts at the big email providers only for the account to be shut down hours or days later.
