I am about to lay some money down on a new flat for myself and Joy, Our first home:D

Anyway, I just wanted to ask a question about tenancy agreements.. Is it enough to produce a valid tenancy agreement for the spouse visa or do I also need a letter from the landlord to say that they are okay with someone else moving in?

I plan to get some pictures of the place as well as drawing up a layout.

Of course utility bills, council tax and what not will be sorted out as soon as possible.

Unless Joy is a co-signatory to the agreement, you'll need to have a written statement from the agent or landlord saying that it's OK for her to take up residence.
If the existing tenancy agreement is to be used in the visa application, it should have at least six months before expiry. If the tenancy agreement does not have at least six months before expiry, then an additional statement from the landlord/agent showing intent to renew at the same terms should also be provided.

    Hope that helps

Interesting when Ana was here in 2010 I never bothered to mention anything to the Landlord, I did inform the Council but nothing else.

Will need to bear this in mind for next year.
