Call me preudiced or whatever, but I agree with all the points in tHe document, apart from the Romania and Bulgarian bit..............;)
But on the same token, why do wives need visas to go to Schengen countries if the hold FLR or ILR, which are regarded as residence Cards..???:erm:

Oh, I was rather hoping that because things appear to be moving regarding non EU spouses of other European countries being able to come to the UK that we would soon be able to do the same.

Im afraid it doesnt apply to residence granted under National Rules only Article 10 or 20 although your partners have free access to entry visas (schengan et al) for free movement in Europe Doms missus no longer needs to apply (I dont know if Jet has British passport yet) if she is traveling with or joining her husband anywhere in the EU same for mine. It has long been enshrined but took 3 years plus to get the UK government still kicking and screaming to begrudgingly comply.

We have put off going into Europe this year, as for us the Schengen shenanigins has been an expensive and time consuming affair on each occasion, until my wife obtains citizenship.
