why do you keep making false accusations

it is plain even from what the ex hamas man says

muslims are great people, friendly, hospitable

but the book and ideology is poison. simple at that.

Christians don't do that sort of thing (kill in the name of God) - they are being slaughtered all over the world.

In the last 10 years it has escalated badly,

I know a place where they do a nice line in lobotomies.

    Lol....

Nowt wrong with John, his views and opinions sometimes hit a raw nerve, and is not always appreciated by everybody, but wouldn't have him any different.

It has been pointed out to you in this thread how equally poisonous the bible is.
Why do you keep trying to make one religious book worse than the other when they are both out-dated and not in tune with the present day.

    edit.........
    Ah, Jim.
I was typing at the same time as you.........

I did decide to sit out of this discussion as it had all got a bit sensitive, but as you directly referenced me here I 'll respond to this.

I don't believe my opening post was offensive. It was a direct response to Jimmy's opening post, which stated that the Muslims worship a "blood thirsty God" and that the God of the bible only acts in self defence.

The Noah's Ark story (a famous story, so one of the few that I know well) contradicts that. As does the other bible quote I posted which says that Christians can go into their enemies' towns, kill all the men and take their women and children as a prize.

Jimmy said about taking the Koran "at face value". So I was showing in my own clumsy way that if you take the bible at face value you get similar results.

Interestingly, you then posted to say that Noah's Ark shouldn't be taken at face value. Which is fine, if you think that, but if so then neither should the Koran.

I gave my answers. Noah's ark was because of the evil that reigned at the time. The women and children verses are hard to swallow admittedly, but it was to protect the Jewish linage from being corrupted which it was. The korans verse's are open ended and not contextual and can be and are applied today.

Its waning because people prefer darkness to light - as simple as that. Islam is perfect for those sort of people, plays right into their hands

every knee will bow and confess that Jesus is Lord...............that I will stake my life on.

Which your omniscient god must have known about long before he even created all those evil people that he would later decide to wipe out, wonder why he did that, did he make a mistake in the first place, oops no he couldn't make a mistake because he's perfect and infallible.

Oh and he also created all those muslims that believe in that nasty book that you don't like, he's kind of responsible for rather a lot don't you think.

A mind-bendingly nonsensical concept of god, created by human beings in their own image.

The bible has many quotes of killing - isn't that darkness?
Christianity is on the wane in the UK. That is a fact.

I just wish all religious people (I am an atheist) would practise their faith in their own homes or other places where like-minded people congregate.
Instead, some seem to prefer to preach to the unconverted and there are many people in the UK who live quite happily without the need to believe in anything that is not science-based.

Also what "Lord" are you talking about. Such a silly out-dated word.

Your words made bold by me encapsulate all religious books.
Text from 2,000 years ago or more cannot possibly compete with all the scientific facts that have come to light from then until now.
Religious people who preach are swimming upstream but making no headway. In fact they are going backwards.

Ok, you have been asked time and time again, to cease the preaching.

This a forum for people that have something in common, like a filipina wife or husband, boyfriend/girlfriend...
We respect our partners religion, and would not try to change them in any way, shape or form, because it is part of their make up, character, heritage, call it what you want, but the jist of it is that if our wifes ask us to take them to Church, we will gladly oblige, but not necessarily join them inside, for a variety of reasons. But we do not try to influence them into abandoning their beliefs, even if at times the things that they come up with are so ridiculous and naive , that one feels like bursting into uncontrollable laughter.
But we don't laugh....... well not in front of them, anyway... that would be classified as suicide....

So, please, I ask you nicely, to search for another pulpit, from where you can share your ideas and strange beliefs with like minded souls.
So if you really feel that strongly about staking your life on it, please do take a wee trip to the Middle east and convert the masses.

well said - I'd glad you don't defer the simple and faithful hearted from serving their Lord, I'll give you some credit for that.

You ideas are thousands of years old and out of date in the UK in 2015.
The more you preach the more science will make you look foolish.

BTW, I have two little children and I will never try to brainwash them with any religious doctrine when they are learning about the real world full of scientific advances.
They will then be able to make their own judgements as they grow, free to make their own minds up without passages from a 2,000 year old book of fairy tales.

Instead of taking the bus to work, try a horse and cart. Perhaps more suited to you.

    Thank You.

The correct word is "deter" not "defer". You really are full of yourself and believe yourself to be peerless - better than anyone else. In reality however, I find you to be an egotistical, self-centred and arrogant idiot.

I have reported your most recent post (#237).

Thanks for the correction - you are indeed part of the wise and the learned - as I quoted lol.

I am a simple man. Happy to be one,

You have resorted to personal insults when the scriptures convict you - shame on you.

I respect plenty of others on here, but you my friend are sneaky.....so, you reported a post. That sums you up.
