The son is as much part of the settlement visa as the mother when you think about it, he will be covered by the visa just like his mum, he has to have paperwork just like mum to show he is in the UK legally under a visa.

i think anyone applying for a visa--with children as well--would be well advised to seek proper professional assisstance in view of the massive visa and surcharge costs.

I believe for the visa application he will be on his mum's paperwork but for the NHS surcharge it is the same for children as adults.

Correction, the mother pays for the application in which her son is included as a dependant, but yes the surcharge is payable for both.

Having the new NHS surcharge now is making things even more confusing with the application
    :(

Is your daughter a British citizen? If so, then no. If not, then yes.

Not sure with fiance visas, but the FLR form I had from last time has a fee of £578, or £953 if applying in person (this has since gone up).

It says on the form: "For each dependant applying with you, the fee increases by £433 for standard applications and £808 for applications made in person."

Dependent Children are included in the same application form, so a 6 month fiancee visa for someone bringing a child would also have a 6 month visa for the child. The 2.5 year FLR would then also include a 2.5 year FLR for the child. And so on.

Unfortunately, I believe the one who isn't a British Citizen will need to be part of the visa application as a dependent child. You'll also have to pay the NHS surcharge for her as well as yourself.
