Climate-heating greenhouse gases at record levels, says UN Carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide are far above pre-industrial levels https://www.theguardian.com/environ...ing-greenhouse-gases-at-record-levels-says-un
What is the specific relevance to British-Filipino relationships? Why are you trying to turn this forum into an outreach of the Guardian's own web site?
“The last time the Earth experienced a comparable concentration of CO2 was 3-5m years ago, when the temperature was 2-3C warmer and sea level was 10-20 metres higher than now,” said the WMO secretary general, Petteri Taalas." Its going to affect us all and if we focus even on statements like the above its going to affect our partners loved ones severly when sea levels rise. London will be a trifle damp to I dont personaly care where the info comes from its what each of us does with it that may mitigate the effects
Well my bottle wall is nearly 70 meters long now and almost 2 meters high.. That should hold it off for a bit longer.
Are you talking about the sea ? So, not that prettiness has anything to do with being environmentally friendly but what exactly does that look like? And if it is actually meant to be a sea barrier then from a technical viewpoint, unless you have deep foundations, hydraulic pressure will overcome any simple wall. If it is 4 or 5 metres deep then that might be another matter but even then foundations would matter.
This is a topic that has been done to death everywhere including here. People come to this forum for information and advice about relationships between British and Filipino individuals; they don't visit to be preached to on Global Warming or any other contentious topic. Please find an alternative venue for your proselytising because you're in danger of discouraging others from visiting and posting.
You live there, I don't so I don't know the day to day realities of living in the jungle So yes if you have used all those bottles to build a wall at least they won't have to be melted down again in order to make more bottles while using lots of energy. I guess it's not quite the same as a dry stone dyke but probably as effective.
If I want to make the wall higher to keep the temperature stable,I just need to sit here and drink more beer first! Win win.
