My wife went back for about 5 weeks. I couldn’t go as I had work commitments. The little one wasn’t yet at school here. So she and our daughter stayed for 5 weeks. She caught up on things she had been missing and some of the things she doesn’t miss either. But she thoroughly enjoyed it.

It was a tough flight there and back though.

One of the reasons we will be taking our daughter to Spain is to get her used to traveling via plane. I know it's not the same thing but it would be a head start traveling internationally. It would be nice going back home before the little one goes to school.

Thanks...just over a week now.

I'll probably treat the family to a day out in Hong Kong in the not too distant future, so I can get my Balikbayan stamp. :)

I got mine when we arrived in Jan. Dead easy, whole process took about 10 minutes, once we arrived at the Immigration Desk.

Spotted and purchased in Morrisons today. £6 for a box of 5. The sticker was interesting revealing the mode of transport / carrier. Very tasty too.

Yes, not from the Philippines but what choice do we have back here.

There’s a good number there. What will you do with them? Eat some and trade some? Make mango chutney?

Yep miss the Philippines mangos. So sweet and juicy. Perfect to eat as just fresh or have as a smoothie especially on sunny days. :)

The vendor from our local fruit and veg shop was calling out customers and seen me eyeing at the mangoes. He was telling me it's the best mango, and I was like, wait 'til you taste the mangoes from the Philippines ;)

    Hi Jim

I'm not exactly sure what are the advantages of getting the 13a over the BB. Still undecided.

I believe you can work and /or run a business when in possession of a 13A ? (In addition to not having to do visa runs... with your asawa).
