    Hello there,
I'd like to know if any of the members of the group have applied for their parents tourist visa?
I am now in the process of compiling stuff for the wedding, one important is for my immediate family members visa (parents and siblings) to join the wedding on april 2017. All my siblings are employed so they can provide the normal dox for the tourist visa. But my parents are different story - mom is retired while my dad has a farming business (sole proprietorship).
    - So which document should be submitted by my parents' application? I know my dad has an audited fincl stmt and tax for the business so i guess that is included but what else?
    - Are they (eco) more considerate or compassionate since they are senior citizens and the chances of them over-staying is lower?
    - Do i (or my finance) need to provide individual letters for each family member detailing the wedding plans or one letter is enough?
    - we dont have relatives in the uk so they will be checking-in a hotel or airbnb of some sort. Do you suggest that i dont book this until we get the approved visa or we can book with agoda/booking.com which offers free cancellation until 48 hrs and show it as part of documents at time of the application? Is having an accommodation hell with the application?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I also asked the same question before, they said it'll be a standard visit visa not a family of a settled person. So you provide the usual documents for standard visit visa.
@firew0myn has done the same for her mum and sisters.

My cousin, who is a British citizen brought her parents there last May and she said they are more considerate for senior citizens but you or your fiance must provide guarantee letter, bank statement and payslips as well. Anything maybe that he provided to show support for you when you get to UK.

Im not sure my fiance have enough money to sponsor an entire family/community . My parents can finance their trip it is just that my dad's business and their personal money are entwined together and im afraid that it might not be enough. It is sometimes better if you are employed than self employed or have your own business.

Then apply as a standard visit visa show bank statements etc. To prove savings and earnings. Then add that you are getting married so they really need to get there. My cousin said wedding is a very important thing in UK so they wouldn't miss that fact. I haven't verified that thing to my fiance yet. Hehe

My mother in law and the wife's two sisters came to visit us last year but I had absolutely nothing to do with their applications, all I can tell you is that they submitted a very detailed itinerary of their trip as they were meeting many people here.

The process will be identical to anybody else's application, no concessions given for any reason.
