hi guys, we just lodged in our application last april 1 but our receipt didn't have any tracking reference number, just the application ref. number starting with GWF. Now the issue is I can't track our application and my search is always invalid bec. i've been using the GWF ref. number that i have... pls help me with this guys, thanks in advance
I cant remember how we actually were given our tracking number. What I would say is that once they acknowledge the application is with the UKBA you dont hear from them again till the decision is made and at that point they email you anyway. We didnt find the tracking number very useful, in that sense.
oh, I'm a bit curious and nervous coz my sister received an sms update on her application but i didn't have any update not even an email.. we applied as a family so am just to eager to know about the status of our application, guessed i just need to sit back and wait
For sure its the application reference that you use to track it..... It was sent to my wife through email. I have just been through it all the previous months.. It never really told us anything apart from our application is under process at the British Embassy.
Me and my wife got (I think) one text or message via email saying it was received. And I might even be remembering that wrong, we might have had nothing! But I do recall the text when the decision was made. Then we had to wait for the post.. But yeah, as for you right now it is just a waiting game.
As far as I can remember, tracking number is given once done with the online application and it will be sent on your email add as well.
We are in the same position re: tracking number. Basically their systems are broken since the transition to the new website. Most unsatisfactory! What's even worse is that they appear to have figured out it's broken and removed it from the website entirely! To be replaced by... yep, you guessed it, a paid for SMS update service :/
