    Hello BF forumers !
    As per title ...
Tried work contract and student visa to no avail ...
We are looking into fiancee visa with an EU national (me) .
Is it more easy or difficult to visa fiancee vs marriage visa ?
on the edge of panic ...

In an ideal situation, it would be much easier to marry.
Once the deed is done, the hard slog in collating the evidence can seriously start.
Chat logs, plane tickets stubs/boarding cards, hotel receipts, picture of the two of you together, sponsorship letter, proof of residence and adequate accomodation, 6 months of salary slips, and bank statements........ Blah, blah, blah.......... The good news is that the Family Permit, if I am not mistaken is still free of charge, but subsequent residence Cards (3 and 5 years) will set you back 55 quid each.......... No need for english language tests....
I better stop here, or the usual suspects will let my tyres down in disgust....

so--get your fiancee to apply for a settlement visa--with you as sponsor--provided you meet all the requirements.

As the citizen of a European Country that is NOT the UK, the UK's Visa rules need not apply to you provided that you marry your Filipina outside the UK - preferably in Italy - and bring her to the UK on a Family Permit.

All the information needed for a successful application is within the link posted by Maharg.

It is not as difficult as it first seems.
Admittedly, when Tony and I used this route to bring our wives to the UK, things were slightly easier, but nothing much has changed since.

Marrying in Italy would open a can of worms , as you can imagine. In Romania I don't know, but as the country recently fully entered the EU, that should be some kind of help.
Marrying in the Philippines would be my choice, for family reasons, but you have to consider the costs involved, which could be considerable if one has go go back and forth a few times just to provide documentary evidence.

So Romania sounds very appealing all of sudden... Different............

In the meantime, don't get stressed.

Thank you all guys ,but I guess I'm stuck on "go and see" ...
    I really have to gocompare.com ... ?
I thought inviting her over and getting married in UK is cheaper ?
Than for me travelling around .

Don't you think that you should meet her personally at first, and see if there is some real compatibility...???
A little reading up on Filipino culture, may also help understand what makes her DNA...

A little reading on my posts will help you understand that we already met, after long everyday-and-night chats over Skype and Viber ... ;)
This is my second serious commitment ,last one was 11 years ...
So I'm really cautious about getting married (reading about her and her culture ) . that's why I wanted to find the work or study way, which failed in long run ...
