There are plusses and minuses with everything. But so far, Arriva Wales and Virgin havent let me down.
Arriva Wales took over the twice-daily "Boat Train" service from Swansea to Fishguard Harbour that was formerly operated by First Great Western. FGW frequently cancelled services or arrived late - just in time to see the Rosslare-bound ferry clear the breakwater. The replacement service is always punctual and the trains relatively clean. I see Arriva will be one of the first companies taking part in the Governments' free WiFi initiative.
