Britain is facing a housing crisis because of a serious shortage of new homes.
Surprisingly, the least affordable place to live in the UK is not London but Oxford where property prices are 16 times the average earnings of people living in the city.
Oxford council says they are facing a "catastrophe" because workers increasingly can not afford to live there.

On a positive note both London and Oxford are easy to commute to from many miles away, if you do not mind the commute that is :)

    It started decades ago.

    Cause ?

Greedy estate agents and sellers, later compounded by greedy letting agents and buy-to-let owners.

'Right to buy' for council owners has not helped one little bit either...though it has contributed a lot to my earnings over the years...supplying 'home improvements'.

Now people expect instant housing for the recent huge influx of immigrants.

    Poor planning.
