hi, just getting all my evidence ready for our visa application in a few weeks,
my question is, I have just got my new passport this week, from the uk passport office. it has no stamps in as yet,

as part of the visa application I am leaving my old passport which is dated 06 to 16,but is full of stamps and I had to get another one...with my girlfriend as evidence, it has 14 visa entry/exit stamps in it, and I am leave a photo copy of my new passport which will have 1 visas entry when I get there.

reading micawber thread on how to apply for visa....its says that you need to have the passport Notarized, but when I googled it another forum says this not required....can some tell me the answer please, Notarized or not Notarized.

    cheers

I had forgotten that you and your gf are to be applying for a Fiancee visa.

For a Fiancee Visa your gf can submit your original birth certificate. Thats exactly what we did and were advised to do. We only submitted an non notarised photocopy of my passport. We saved ourselves the cost of the notarisation that way.

Just photocopies of your old passport should be fine, but if you provide the actual passport (now expired) there is no chance of getting that evidence back (should you need it again), so I suggest you keep onto it.

Your British passport copy doesn't need to be notarized (no harm in getting done, but it is unnecessary).

I believe that you are required to supply a duplicate set that is photocopied.
Most, if not all else should ideally be original, the exception being the passport. Then a duplicate set.

We didnt submit all chat logs, just representative ones covering the period. Approximately one per week.

We left out any where we had fallen out or any where we had cursed the UKBA...LOL

For chat logs, produce 2 double sided a4 pages of each chat system you used. I also sent in copies of the Facebook page connections (such as how my wife was friends on facebook with my sisters).
