hi, need some experts to help me on this one.

hi, first things, I meet the financial requirements to apply or my girlfriend apply for a visa (£18,600).

my question is about, part 3f cash savings, as I meet the requirements do I still have to list my savings on the visa application , I have already covered, writing about my saving in the supporting letter and I will supply all my saving statements as evidence.

sorry, forgot to add, I have saving above the Entry Clearance/Leave to Remain and indefinite Leave to Remain. If that makes sense.

Will, if you satisfy the income requirement then as far as I know, your savings arent relevant as you will have satisfied the income requirement.

Hi Will, I'm no expert but just to let you know, I also met the financial requirement but I still listed the savings part. I wanted to expedite the visa approval and threw everything at my disposal to make sure it was accepted. Ultimately you meet the criteria hence savings don't have to be part of the process as far as I'm aware.

Having "case studied" a huge number of settlement visa applications over a couple of years :D i have noticed that it isnt possible to influence the speed of processing of said visas. Some have taken only a day and some 2 or 3 months and others peppered in between. And nobody seems to know why...LOL

However, a poorly compiled application might slow things down if there are appeals or reconsideations involved....

Expedite was the wrong word. I wanted to give our application the best possible chance so I included things not specifically required (hence the saving criteria), again to try and remove any doubt from the approving officer. As you say times can vary tremendously, maybe the queue is FIFO (First In First Out) or LIFO (Last In First Out). Or maybe just randomly pick a case from the pile, not sure. I studied the processing quantities the month prior to our application I noticed there were approx 130 cases approved, in the month of our application, it was something like 50. That month was the first month that the financial criteria had been included.

I reckon the ECO shuffles them first or altenatively throws em in the air first before bunging them in a big pile. :D

As you say you qualify and this is a fiance visa app correct?

You might want to review the evidence of the relationship in terms of evidence of having met (how many times?) and include photo,s skype logs itemised phone bills etc to cover the ongoing nature of your connection include any evidence of support
