Where do couples love to head off?

The destinations vary for Asians and Europeans, according Asia's leading booking site, Agoda.com.

"While Asian couples on vacation in Europe preferred to head to Venice and Amsterdam, European couples chose Barcelona and Budapest," it said.

When the wife gets her passport, (hopefully a couple of months time after her ceromoney) I'll be looking at taking her to Italy. I was looking at flying into venice and working our way south using the trains and flying back from another city. My plans is to spend about 3 days in each of the following:
    Venice
    Florence
    Rome
Pompei (maybe just a day here and a trip up Vesuvus. Wrong spelling I know but I'm in a rush!)

Anyone any other ideas that I might throw in?
