The Home Office recently announced that Visa Fees (and other fees) would increase from 4th April. Details of the new fees are now available and include: A 6 month Visit Visa for up to 6 months will now cost £83 (was £80); one valid for up to 2 years will cost £300. A Visit Visa valid for 5 years goes up to £544 and one with 10 year validity will cost £737. A Settlement Visa rises by £34 to £885 for the primary dependent and by £76 to £1,982 for other dependent relative. If you want priority service for a Settlement Visa, you will have to pay an additional £300 or £600 for 'super priority service'. Priority service is also available for Visit Visas at an additional cost of £100. All European Residence Permits are unchanged at £55. The cost for ILR and FLR will rise to £1,093 in all cases. Previously ILR/FLR cost £1,051 for the primary dependent and £788 for all other dependents. A full Visa Fee Schedule can be downloaded from the UKBA web site as a PDF file.
I don't think a few quid here and there will make any difference to anyone really wanting to visit or settle in the UK, good money all the same. I don't think we can put a price on bringing our loved ones here from the Philippines, they're priceless as you know.
