Visa approved!

Good morning folks. This morning I woke to a text message from Lenny asking me to check my email. She received the following:

Your visa will be despatched shortly. Passports can normally be collected from the Visa Application Centre after 3 days depending on which country you applied from or will be couriered back to you only if you have availed of this service. UKVI


This is an automated message. Please do not respond to this email address as incoming mail is not answered.

I take it this means the visa has been approved! Woohoo Much excitement (and much house cleaning required)!!!!!

EDIT TO SAY: The visa has taken precisely 55 working days (having taken account of bank holidays) from submission at VFS Manila to receipt of this email.

LOL, good advice Thanks! I might find some spending money for my trip over to the Philippines down there as well

I've got same message but after 3 hrs i got an email from vfshelpline that made me confused and worried about my application.
A decision on your Visa application reference number: xxxx/xxxxxx/xxxxx/x has been made by the British Embassy.
Your application has been received at the UK Visa Application Centre and is ready for collection.

Yes. We received the same same 2nd email... It seems to be normal behaviour from them... Your Visa has been accepted.. Well done

OK thank you so is it ready to collect at the vfs centre cebu coz they said after 3 days

Congratulations Mark and Lenny! My wife received the same emails today - Woo hoo!!! 52 working days for her. She can race Lenny to the UK! hehehe

Hi maharg we're planning to apply a tourist visa for 2 months holiday.. Im unemployed atm but i have small business, what the best way i can do to convince the eco that i will return in the philippines?

If Lenny is coming over in our summer it will be warmer for her.

She will be here on the 29th I'm flying out on the 22nd to spend a week there with family, then we're coming back together. Much excitement. Having opted for courier delivery of the docs and passport, it arrived today, 24hrs after the email. She has booked her CFO appt. for this coming Monday.

On the day that my wife was to leave her island, I sat alone for at least an hour away from her house.

It was a sad time for her and her family as they said their goodbyes.
There were tears in her eyes when she came over to me to get on the pumpboat.

congrats to all on getting the good news--i hope i can say the same thing within the next 12 months.

my lady has returned to the filis 3 times now: the 1st was just after i met her--she went back for a family funeral--came back here 3 weeks later. the 2nd was when her student visa ran out. i took her to heathrow-- a very emotional goodbye--i just didnt think we could be together again--the new rules had just come in--and i didnt qualify.

but--thats sorted now. she managed to get a visit visa last summer--so we were together again---this time when she went back i just knew it will be OK.
