hello there is a lot of talk about fiancée visas etc which is really helpful.... I am new and maybe this has already been covered but I could not find it.... I am living in Philippines and been with my girl over a year.... I don't want to come here to get married.... but I would love to come to the UK with her just for a months holiday. I have no intention of staying... Just want to show her where I come from and say hello to my family and then go back to our life in Philippines.... Has anyone done this.... ??? Any handy hints or avenues to head down would be great....Why should I need to get married just to have a vacation? Thanks in advance....
At a guess, a Visit Visa would do. But they arent a formality. Your fiancee would have to satisfy the UKVI that she fully intended to return to the Philippines afterwards.
just apply for a visit--(tourist ) --visa. its a low-cost fee. so long as your g/f proves she has a job--a home--strong reasons to return---she could be successful. if not---she can always re-apply later. the cost isnt huch compared to the flights for both of you.
One thing that does help is make sure she has a return flight booked and paid for a one way ticket in suggests to the UKBA an intent of staying! if your not sure of the date of return buy an open ticket. Good luckj
