Quick poll for you all. Do you think that the Popes visit to the UK has been a success in terms of the public image of the Church?

The fact that the Pope is dealing with the sexual abuse complaints by talking to some victims shows and making speeches apologising for all the wrong doing. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-11354357

Overall, media coverage showed a positive side to the Pope's visit, and a few protestors did not spoil it for the many 1000's who made the trip from all round the world to see the Pontiff.

There is an element of truth when the Pope said the UK is a nation of raging aethists.

I think it will take a day or two not sure i like to be lectured to about being tolerant by some bloke elected by a small group of people who could do a lot better on the Child abuse affair among many other issues which in particular affect Phill.

Why did it take till now to meet Child Abuse victims? Will they release the files the vactian are supose to be holding back as requested?

As the Pope ie if he says it happens in his world. Why do all the different countires seem to have very different reactions to the Child abuse issues?

Does seem that leaders in the Catholic world have dragged there feet on the issue. Lets hope the actions live up to the words spoken.

Now he has addmitted fault and aknowledged it has occured im guessing the floodgates will open as victims gain courage to speak out and im guessing the next few years will show us all how big a problem this really was.

I think it was important to speak out but a shame these things have taken so long. But late is better than never.

Whats wrong with being a aethist? I think the extremism with aethism at the moment is in reply to the extremism which sadly has blighted many of the major religions for hundreds even thousands of years.

Ihave to say was never an issue about the cost the money will have been well invested, with wages for those involved extra temp jobs such as stewards and contractors, contractor firms will have done well, local businesses will have had increased sales, tourism etc..

Also great to see so many with a smile on there face and far more than those with a frown from the visit.
