My wife's settlement Visa was approved a few days ago in the Philippines. It has been very stressful and the relief of the Big fat yes was overwhelming. My visa application wasn't straight forward as i was unsure whether to choose category A or B as I had been relocated in my employment and given a new employment contract so i opted to submit a year worth of payslips and bank statements. I want to thank this site and the people who gave me advice and also for the people who take the time to answer questions, I literally scrolled through posts and posts making notes, trying to understand the process . I've just booked the flight with Philippine airlines and she should be in the UK beginning of Sept ( fingers crossed)..we have been to the cfo seminar a few years backs when we changed my wifes passport into out married name and we just have to go back for the sticker.. thanks again guys , now I'm getting ready for the next stage of the visa process... Yikes

    Congratulations!

We're supposed to be getting married in Singapore in September (unlikely at the moment). Then we are applying, I figured there will be delays for a long time yet.
