Hi everyone I am just wondering what countrys can I take my fiance without her needing a visa? Any help would be much appreciated thanks
http://news.abs-cbn.com/overseas/01...countries-territories-for-ph-passport-holders 62 countries altogether, including all the other ASEAN ones, but apart from some of those like Thailand, few of them are popular destinations for UK holidaymakers. No European countries at all, nearest thing to it being Israel which might be well worth looking at, seeing as it is not far and most Filipinos are going to be a bit of a sucker for the Christian holy sites, Jerusalem, Nazareth, Gallilee, Dead Sea etc, all which she will have at least dimly heard of. Every Philippines travel agent sells pilgrimage type Holy Land package tours even though are expensive for Filipinos. Morocco not far, also not expensive. Gambia, cheap package tours available. One or two of them, such as Iran, Filipinos don't need a visa in advance, but British people do need one.
Yes many to choose from . Thailand, with its many islands , Malaysia, Hong Kong , Singapore are all easily accessible from Philippines , and popular destinations , but there are many more . Just google it for detailed answer .

From where? Are you planning on stop over from ph to the uk? Or once she is in the uk, do you want to travel? There are a few countries you can choose from but nearly nothing within the EU. Morocco is the closest one - 3.5 hrs flight from manchester and a lot of all-inclusive holidays to choose from (agadir or marrakesh etc).
there is nothing at all within the EU. 'from where?' is a pretty pertinent question to ask. Big difference if you are in the Philippines or UK when it comes to places within range of short haul vacations. if UK there is only 4 of the 60 odd countries that are less than six hours flying time away, any more flying time than that, and destinations start to become unsuitable for vacations of less than minimum two weeks.
It's more of a hassle for girl to actually LEAVE the Phils, than it is to arrive in many foreign ones ! ('trafficking' issues) You'll need to look into that, if she's still residing in the Phils.
yes there have been many stories on forums like this about difficulties faced by Filipinas wanting to leave the Philippines and who are thought to be being 'trafficked', and therefore need to be 'rescued', however nobody I know has ever had a problem at all and i have a lot of contacts who from time to time leave the Philippines ; most of them are legit OFW's but not all. in fact a couple of girls I know really quite well probably ARE being 'trafficked', in the sense that they seem to go to Thailand about five times a year to be with their old-boy foreigner 'boyfriends' there who dislike the Philippines apart from it being an excellent place to pick up young women. They send them their plane tickets to join them there in Thailand and send them back to Cebu again with a few hundred bucks a few weeks later. This has been going on for years. I saw them in Cebu in December when they had just come back from yet another three weeks trip. They came directly from the airport and we went for videoke. They can even speak a bit of Thai language now. Wenderlyn was a 19 year old trainee primary school teacher when I first met her. Now eight years later, even though she graduated, she does not work in education. The guy has basically bankrolled a large sari store in Toledo that is now the family business and she does not work apart from sit in there serving occasionally when she is not visiting him in Thailand which seems to be about 30% of the year. Apparently, he's never even been to see the store that he paid for. He just went to the Philippines once, met her, went back to Thailand and never returned. All the other times they have met, it has been in Thailand. He hated the Philippines. I did ask them and neither of the girls have ever had any problems getting out of the Philippines at all, possibly because they are always by themselves when they leave the country, do not look like bargirls, and always have a decent wedge of cash, return tickets, and so on. The guys who I think are at least 35 years older than they are, are never with them.
Thanks for all the replys sorry I didn't make it clear that I meant from the Philippines but all that is good information thanks ppl
haha it does make a big difference. from the Philippines go somewhere close. A lot depends on her, she will probably want to go to Hong Kong and its Disneyland if she has not been before, or even if she has been before, it is very high on the to-do list of every Filipina I have ever met. the most user-friendly country to visit for a holiday has got to be Thailand. But you have so many options, it is too many to list. Bali. Angkor Wat and Siem Reap the only really truly world class monument-type attraction thing like the Pyramids, Petra, Taj Mahal etc in the SEAsian region. And those 4 suggestions is only scratching the surface.
nah not expensive and in fact you can get good value for money package tours at any travel agency and online. 2 of you could probably go for 2 nights, decent hotel, including flights and admission to Disney for about £250. get her on it and stress the importance of getting a good price. Some of them think they've hit the jackpot and think this is great let's stay in 5 star hotels and get the limousine option, the foreigner can afford it. also if she hasn't got a passport she needs to get one now. It can take a long time for the application to come through.
Can I just take this opportunity to point out that my wife has never, ever, at any point, shown any inclination to visit any Disneyland anywhere in the World. Ever. We planned a trip to Italy last year, which seemed a good idea until we realised we had to actually go to the Italian Embassy to sort out a visa. So went to Thailand instead.
Mae and I got married in Hong Kong and were there for ten days. At no time did either of us even contemplate going to Disney and neither did our friends who spent a long weekend there. Just another instance of Whippy being Whippy the generaliser.
most Filipinas definitely would want to go to Disney. I don't. But they do. 'city break' package tours out of the Philippines to Hong Kong outsell those to any other foreign city by a considerable margin with the Disneyland being a big part of the attraction. It is not the only one. But it is a very major one. the 2nd best seller 'city break' package tour is Singapore, but I have a feeling that if Singapore, and not Hong Kong had the Disneyland, then they'd be #1.
I did take my (half-Filipino) son to Disney World in Orlando, Florida, when he was 11 years old. We had a marvellous time. We also lived in Hong Kong, but that was before the Disney place opened there.
we went to Disneyworld in Florida when we were kids too. We thought it was overrated. We had been to other American theme/amusement parks that we thought were better than that.
Well I must say, coincidentally I will be going to Disneyland next week. As long as our flights are not cancelled owing to a series of French air and rail strikes aimed at breaking the resolve of Monsieur Macron. More for the little ones benefit as I would rather take in some of the cultural delights of Paris. I would have also liked to have gone to Dismaland and I know some Filipinos that did, when it was on.
My oh my.... I'd never have guessed you'd have 'been there done that' already. Quite frankly my friend, I don't give a flying**** what you've done... especially decades ago. In fact, I'm going to put you on ignore, so I don't have to read any more of your missives, penned on those golden tablets of stone, to be handed graciously down to us plebs .
