Also Citibank, which I believe still has branches in at least Cebu and Manila, despite selling its Citi savings division to BDO a couple of years ago.

In my case, it's not simply a suspicion: I used to be a staff member of Living in Cebu and Whippy was a frequent poster. He seemingly enjoyed posting about his sexploits many of which were never actually read as-posted as they were moderated or simply deleted.

really? How much do they allow? And just as importantly, how many outlets do they have, and where? I know BPI which used to allow 20,000 withdrawals changed in October and now their limit is 10,000.

that was OK because BPI, unlike HSBC do have branches all over. In fact it was when I got wind of BPI's lowering the limit that I decided to knock ATM's on the head completely.

nothing to do with Angeles. It's just a feeling I get from the four month visits over a span of sixteen years, the attitude, and the references. I'm not passing judgement either apsrt from to say that I don't agree with exploiting disadvantaged women and I found the earlier remarks rather offensive.

the waterproof moneybelts are really cool. They are small, and fasten really tight. Totally invisible. And I usually wear them in such a way as the pouch itself is round the side, not down the front. Not only does nobody else know you're wearing them but you yourself almost don't.

once in Thailand, I gave a farang friend a birthday present of a t-shirt I had printed in Thai language which he was really pleased to receive. Even when he found out that it said in Thai 'I've got 200,000 baht in my underpants'.

ahh. I see... I never paid for sex myself, would have been disgusted with myself. Hmm. Given the lack of reply to my remarks I'm either being ignored or they are true. Well well.

You are wrong, it's not. We bank with BPI and the limit per transaction from an ATM is P20,000.

Pay for it? Whippy doesn't pay for it. Well not unless you count a few barbeque sticks and rice that he'll 'treat' her to. Whippy is a very cheap date. DateInAsia was a favoured source and he generally lines a few up before arriving here in late autumn.

So.. If I'm getting the right end of the stick here @whispster you're dating a number of innocent women in the Phils, misleading them and using them for personal gratification and you've been doing that for years. Is that accurate? Surely you have something to say about that.. It's not something I would want to be accused of..

I guess most of them must lose interest once they discover the super cool waterproof money belt stuffed in his pants.

Think the limit on my Citibank UK account is about £500 per day, looking back on my records for example, I took out two consecutive 15,000 peso withdrawals in a day.

By using a Citibank UK card at an overseas Citibank ATM, there is no commission, only the low Citibank internal exchange rate.

Unfortunately they have very few outlets, last time I used it in Manila was a two hour walk to the branch in Chinatown, after they had closed the Citi savings ATM in Robinsons, good exercise I suppose.

Just about to use it now at the Citibank branch here in Bangkok.

hang on a minute. 4000 pounds sterling over 122 days is is 2200 pesos per day. Although I usually have less than that. More like 3500. And 3500 is only 1950 pesos a day. The target is 2000 per day. Anymore than that per day is great. Any less than that, and I have to be careful.

I do stay in hotels for 9 out of 10 of the days, so it's not really 'street level'. But even when I stay in Filipino's houses up the mountain somewhere which I do sometimes, I still feel obliged to contribute something to the kitty which is not going to be less than about 300 per day. Especially when there is about 15 kids knocking around, which there usually is.

the trip that has just ended most expensive place I stayed at was in Manila at 1300. Cheapest was in the Camotes, at 300.

this is how it breaks down for me :

average spend on hotels and accommodation : 650 per day
average spend on motorbike hire - 180
other transport (90% of my journeys are self-drive motorbike ones but there's always at least a couple of flights to pay for in addition to occasional taxis and buses) 100
    food - 250
    beers and entertainment - 400
    extensions - 80
    fuel - 50

not a right lot left for anything else, is there?

they don't know it's there pretty much regardless of where their hands may wander. It's not just the airport security whether it be in Dubai or Dumaguete that fail to spot it. You forgot, that I wear it round the side. Which also makes it considerably more convenient when you want to take a p**s.

Thanks for sharing but frankly I'm not interested in that. I want to know whether you're a sex tourist taking advantage of women in the Phils and I feel like you're avoiding the question.

they changed it to a 10,000 limit on October 1, 2015. I saw signs to that effect on several BPI ATM's all over the place.

Do you live in the Philippines on a daily basis? Do you bank with BPI? No I thought not. I do live here and we do have an account with that bank and we did withdraw P20,000 this very afternoon from a BPI Express Teller (ATM) in a single transaction.

excuse me, and I'm not accusing you of anything, far from it, but aren't you the one that's paying money to bring a woman over to the UK? Couldn't that be construed - by some, at least and in most cases I admit totally wrongly - as people trafficking? May I ask you just what exactly makes you think that just because you marry somebody, then that somehow, magically and automatically, absolves you of being labelled as a sex tourist or sexpat?
