Hi, I’m looking for any advice. My wife has her visit visa and is coming over for 3 weeks in April to meet my family and see England for the first time. Has anyone any good suggestions of things to do? I live in Bucks so not far from London but never visit the place myself. So wondered if anyone had any ideas of places they have visited and enjoyed. Also so if anyone would have any tips/advice for my good ladys first visit (apart from bringing some warm clothes) Thanks Luke
The most important item of the day out is having a round or two on the London Eye.... Stunning panorama. House of commons westminster abbey the shard and lots more. Unforgettable. Your fingers will start bleeding for clicking too many pictures...
Booked a couple of nights in Covent Garden. So will see a show and visit the Eye and other sights. Thanks
London is a must, I took my wife there for three days when renewing her passport, stopped in Trafalgar Square, jumped on the sightseeing bus which is reasonably priced and good value as the ticket is valid for 24 hours. When the wife first arrived here I took her to Edinburgh to see her aunty, down to the Lake District and on to Blackpool, every Filipino will like Blackpool as tacky as it is. My wife's mother, sister and friend are coming to visit us next week and I hope and pray I don't have to chauffer them around, the constant yakking of three Filipinos in a car for hours I dread to be sure
We went to Blackpool. It was for the switching on of the lights. My wife loves The Script, and they were supposed to be performing, which is the main reason we went. They pulled out and we eneded up watching Gary Barlow instead, who came in as a replacement. To counter balance Timmers post, Mrs M thought it was a bit of a dump and took the mickey out of the tackyness and the "fish and chips".
After visiting Boracay and going to Cebu for our honeymoon. Think a day trip to Brighton will show off our seaside nicely. Fish and chips on the pier in April will be a real treat. Sorted out a few nights in London just need to find a show now.
It is not my cup of tea but ladies I have met say "Mamma Mia" is a wonderful show, if it is still on. http://local.amazon.co.uk/London-wide/B00KTDL52K?&ref_=uk_pai_hyd_sd_all_0040 I really enjoyed "Les Miserables" http://www.theatrepeople.com/shows/les-miserables?mkwid=sRYImJo8W&pcrid=62308735510&pkw=les miserables&pmt=e&pdv=c&gclid=COPm9Oi4k8QCFSbmwgodq7sA0w but didn't enjoy "Phantom Of The Opera". http://www.thephantomoftheopera.com/
