Who knows, internally they likely should go back to a high level of quarantine to slow the spread, in terms of international travel though now that they have Omicron it's time they reopened the country, foreign visitors are not going to make any difference to the local situation now as Omicron runs rampant with local transmission.

They've already lost control Manila Fears ‘Massive And Uncontrolled’ Spread Of Omicron; 1 In 2 Test Positive (ibtimes.com)

That's the first article I've found that supports what I have been thinking for several weeks, Omicron got there a while ago probably early to mid December and it has exploded, one in two of the limited testing they are able to do is coming back positive that's huge, it could be ten or twenty times the numbers actually testing positive right now, with Omicron their resources are overstretched and quarantine will fail and has probably failed.

My kids have it again, I am almost certain, Nanay has it and Dhang has it, the kids were out with family over new year, they are vaccinated so they got to enjoy a little bit of freedom but now all their friends are sick and all their cousins and family.

My kids are recovering well already and Nanay and Dhang are both ok so far, only Nanay is unvaccinated.

Time the open their economy up again, keep the quarantine rules because it's still going to be bad deaths are climbing but they won't contain it now.

We have Filipino friends in Madrid who have been vaccinated and they had Omnivron and just had too work through it, as no sick pay.

No vaccine? No problem, it is the PI after all, last week Monday or Tuesday (I can't remember) in manila you could buy proof of vaccination from certain counterfeit printers in manila, it's more fun......
