My wife has applied for her spouse visa to join me here, but I was just wondering if the Embassy will contact my employer at any stage to confirm my employment status. I've been with the company for nearly a year now, but I haven't met the £18,600 financial requirements but have more than enough savings to help. Do you contact everyone's employer? Gaz
Hi Gaz, If you've applied using savings as your financial requirement alone then they would have no need to contact your employer. If its a mix of wage and savings, under normal circumstances presenting your wage slips is generally proof enough. They have internal checks so don't need to contact your employer anyhow.
