Take a look at this, this is what can happen to a cyclist for reprimanding a driver for using their mobile at the wheel, just crazy, I would have jailed the crazy bitch for a lot longer; http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-england-london-39871028/mobile-phone-row-driver-runs-cyclist-over
Put a windscreen and steering wheel between a normal human being and reality.... All these 'road ragers' need to be taught a serious lesson IMO... as a pedestrian, a car driver and a cyclist. 3 years is pretty piss poor for attempted murder.
I have been feeling severely frustrated by bikers before now, and felt as if I had to do something, especially when they seem to have a penchant for jumping red lights just as I am getting some speed... but always refrained from any action that could have been construed as "rage"........ I am far too old in the tooth to fall for that old chestnut... I drive alot, and I mean a lot........ A minimum of at least 2k miles per month on business, and not counting private mileage....... And I see daily, idiotic people using their mobiles while at the wheel, as if it has gone out of fashion. I could say a few choice words as I go past, but I don't. I certainly don't go out of my way to kick wing mirrors... The car driver is well out of order, "road rage" to the extreme. A few years in the cooler will certainly teach an unforgettable lesson, the biker, probably, also learnt to mind his own business... When I drive, I always try to be one step ahead of of other drivers, wether in front of me, on the side, or behind me and react in the proper civil manner....... Even if incivility is demonstrated......
I agree with Dom, its all about restraint when you see idiotic behaviour on the roads, just got to count to ten and ignore it, if a road user constantly breaks the rules the police will catch up with them sooner or later, or that's what I'd like to think.
It seems to be open season on cyclists. Just yesterday I was reading that Chris Froome was deliberately wiped out by a motorist whilst he was training.
Try and drive over here, you need eyes back of your head. Just got my Philippines driving license today, that was an experience in it self.
