This summer has been a real slave driver for me. I have been to so many places that I lost count, and I am really looking forward to my Italian holiday in september, and happily overdose on wine and seafood from my hometown..
This past week for instance I had 4 great days at the Royal Welsh Show in Builth Wells, powys, and it was really, really busy for me, the turnover achieved was staggering, it sorted my month's target in a flash.
The past 3 days, friday, saturday and Sunday, were spent at the Car Fest North, held at Bolesworth Castle , just outside Chester, a stone throw from where I live, which was a blessing. Normally I have to drive for hours to get anywhere else. So from the company point of view I was cheap, as I did not require hotel accomodation... Cheapskates...
Friday was hot and sticky, and busy indeed. I did have some fears about the whole thing as they placed us very close to the kids areas.. But the footfall was really impressive.
Didn't realize how many petrol heads are in existence...
saturday, was windy and wet at times, but that didn't deter the said petrolheads at all, it actually encouraged them to come out.
Today, Sunday, started with gale winds, pouring rain, and a good dose of curses from yours truly, as I was trying to rescue my brolly from the brambles...
It didn't stop raining until about 1pm, by then several traders stands, upped sticks and went home as their tents had been uprooted and the stock wasted.
Cannot complain at all on that, as I wlked home with 4 boxes of Pipers Crisps, which I immediately sold to one of my customers for 20 quid...
As not too many people were out and about, It was matter to make every contact count and try to turn them into actual sales. Which worked out quite well in the end.

So my apologies for not being around as much as I would like, but when I get back home or to the hotel, my brains are fried, and more often than not I just fall asleep where I sit so tired I am.

Now I am actually enjoying a pear cider, which will be followed by a tawny port or three before bed.

And now my fellow forumers, "Matulog Mahimbing"... or in Visayan "tulog Maayo"...
