Using beer and coffee to promote your cause? :erm: Truth be told, no voting system is perfect, and FPTP is the most flawed. People are grumbling about this coalition government, well, under AV coalition's will be more likely, so don't go shouting 'unfair' at the next election. The beer vs coffee proves that beyond doubt - lets say for example coffee is Labour and beer is everyone else. Under AV, everyone else gets the form the government, hence the most likely outcome being a coalition. I would keep FPTP, but failing that, I think PR is a better bet than AV.

Ironic isn't it that over in Philippines, they wanted to change to FPTP under the charter-change, not sure whats happened about that.

I like that analogy Kuya :like:

walesrob, I tend to agree also that PR would have been better and simpler than AV

Personally, I still didn't decide yet. Eventually I'll ask the wife.;)

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that the political party's and lots of Union's already use AV to elect their leaders and senior officers etc.
    Anyone know if that's true?

PR is by far the better option, but our dear leaders thought it best to leave that one out:erm:

I think AV is better than FPTP but at the same time, not quite perfect. But I do like how we are getting to have a debate in this country on how to improve our democracy:)
