http://anc.yahoo.com/photos/caap-su...arious-safety-issues-photo-1376645932359.html In principle, this is good news - I don't know the rights and wrongs of the case but it is good to see the CAAP exercising its powers rather than turning a blind eye
Wow! Never knew that ZestAir's that bad. I like ZestAir than cebu pacific. Mainly because ZestAir's always on time while cebupac's always delayed.
Page six is the important one - pilots' hours exceeded. Its nothing ZEST cannot put right so I am sure they will be back, but I am pleased to see CAAP taking this seriously
They are the ghost of Asian Spirit Majah, terrifying airline since they changed name to Zest I have not flown with them but Asian Spirit was an experience and a half every time
I think there's more to this story than meets the eye - as is often the case in the Philippines. Could it be that someone is seeking to force the competition out of business, I wonder, and/or deflect attention away from its own failings.
Better report here: http://www.rappler.com/business/ind...6596-caap-suspends-zest-air-safety-violations 85% owned by Air Asia. My guess is that the CAAP are working hard to regain FAA accreditation.
