But i guess all these changes just wanted to make it easier for the sponsor here in UK to provide documents directly to Sheffield, no need to send it outside UK. Well, just hoping for the best result. But of course I provided letters about this visa submission here explaining about tb certificate. hahaha really hoping they will understand.

UKVI arent exactly known for making things easier for the sponsor...just a smokescreen to divert attention from the daylight robbery visa fees increases.

Hiya, still no news regarding our visa We sent our supported documents to Sheffield and they received it April 12 the same day my daughter went to VFS for her biometrics. And last April 14, my husband received the documents back at home with a letter from UK Visa and Immigration that they will only retain the copies but i don't know why they sent everything back, the original and copied documents so i sent it back the copies again because i was really wondering why they didnt retained the copies at all? Still no news about it and paid 10 days priority visa. No email about IHS either. I have the feeling there's something wrong.

Makes me think if I should just send everything to the Phil and pay the scanning services fee.

That would be good option so your partner won't have to provide photocopies coz they will only scan the original.

Yeah I think that could be better. If they are sending docs beck without checking then no point of the priority fee. Guess they are still trying to adjust to new way of accepting visa applications.

Yes it's a bit of a mess right now I think. Many things going on. So many changes. They're adjusting as well.

They already scanned your documents so they have a copy of your application already that's why they are sending it back.

    Yes
Yes but ive read in UK visas onced you send documents with no copies they will not return it. So i thought they will keep the copies. We also not received any IHS email for the payment (we also got Zero dollar on IHS). . and its been 9 days today. Maybe it means we are denied? We met the financial requirements, have a 2 bedroom house, tb test, so i dont know what will be the basis incase we are denied.

No you're not denied don't worry. As you said on their email that they have scanned your documents already that's why they are returning your documents. They are still processing it now. You should get a decision in few days if you paid for priority. Hope you get the decision you want. Keep us posted. :)

Well me the wife applied for her daughter March 15 in person in Manila and had an email form the Deferrals Team, Manila Visa Hub a week ago asking for some phone numbers for mom in law so they could interview her ???? This was provided via return email and guess what NO contact made with my mom in law .
Am hoping this does not effect my application because they have not followed up on there own request .

Take any inquiry as a positive, you provided the information they asked for, up to them whether they follow up or not.

    Remain positive.

VFS is the third party contracted by embassies to collect an applicant's information for settlement or tourist visa. In the past the applicant have to go to UK embassy to apply for tourist pr settlement visa (spouse or fiance). This time, the applicant has to go to a VFS office to sumbit the relevant documents and have their biometrics taken. This is not unique in the philippines (when a fipino apply for a visa) or the UK (the destination). When you apply for a Shengen visa anywhere, you are required to apply via VFS as well.

More and more countries use their (VFS) services as it ease the pressure on embassy's security, order and manpower. Although some essential services are kept by the embassy, for example, if a british person wants to get married in ph an affirmation is required which can only be processed by the embassy in person.

    Hope this helped.
