Santo nino, with all of the candles? I saw about 10 peso coins near the burning candles, I took them and gave them to an old guy outside working on the premise the Lord helps those that help themselves
Well we are talking about the forced traditional catholic religion that was stuffed down the throat of the Filipinos, and so much so that they think that the black nazarene has power - the only power it has is to blind the filipinos into servitude.
But we are I think talking about the Coronavirus - my niece had a write up in the news - https://www.mynottinghamnews.co.uk/...r-who-dedicated-her-life-to-helping-children/
Really good that work colleagues and others take time to write nice things about her, but the winners are the children that she saved/helped/encouraged. People like Helen are true heroes - who go the extra mile to protect vulnerable babies, toddlers, little ones and teenagers who really need help until they are old enough to look after themselves.
My wife finally had the vaccination Astra Zeneca this morning - nothing to it, didn't even feel it and no side effects, and a trip to the Philippines will be in June, when we both will have had the second vaccine in May.

I was actually at St George's in tooting last Friday, this is a revelation. https://www.businessinsider.in/scie...erral&utm_campaign=Click_through_social_share
Well we have talked about flight cancellations due to Covid on this thread before and a few days ago I decided to apply to KLM to insist on my voucher refund as that was the terms they made me agree to last year when I had to accept a voucher for my April 2020 flight which they cancelled. Credit where credit is due I got my refund for £590 from KLM tonight just 4 days after asking and before my voucher expired at the end of this month, payment made direct to my credit card which has now put it in credit, I was really surprised as I expected it to be a bit of a fight and they had said it could take up to 60 days for the refund. I have three more vouchers for seat upgrade addons I purchased for my flight worth about another £100 so while I think they are non refundable I will give it a try to see if I get them back too. According to KLM the main flight voucher would say refundable if it could indeed be refunded however mine did not it just had the words FINANCIAL IMPACT, I think that means impact to KLM, my other vouchers don't have that tag. I've anonymised this EMD Voucher below by cutting out bits from all the numbers and cutting my name but this was all I got for my 588 quid last year and I had felt a bit vulnerable all year I really didn't expect to get this money back I wonder if a lot of people will just never claim? The one good thing is that this means I don't have to renew my travel insurance with LV next week as I no longer have a potential claim from last year hanging over me, my renewal for annual multi trip travel insurance was coming in at £150 up £30 quid on last year. I like KLM and they have always treated me well this refund restores my waning trust in them, I hope they survive this Covid mess as I would like t o travel with them again.
Couldn’t believe it today. The number of working people working together either not wearing a mask or if wearing a mask then typically it’s worn on the chin or below the nose. Incredible. But they do have plenty of sanitiser around and they take each employees temperature each day!
Transport Secretary Grant Shapps said it was "too early to tell" when holidays abroad would be allowed. Under the current roadmap for easing restrictions, the earliest date people in England could holiday abroad would be 17 May. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-56467813
The language they are using suggests to me that the entire normal holiday season will be cancelled, it sounds like they will be monitoring in September to see if there is a new wave of vaccine resistant Covid starting to emerge, probably mostly looking at Europe but likely there could be restrictions on any country that has novel strains of the virus which could kill off my chances of seeing my kids at all this year. I would not now bet on getting any foreign travel this year at all.
