Have you tried with an alternative pc to put the tilde symbol in?

T'is indeed a pain. Not tried with a different PC as yet but going from how even when I get the ñ into the box by pasting, it then disappears, I'm fairly certain now it just ain't 'aving it!
Interestingly on her previously granted UK Visitor Visa it had her middle name with just a normal capital N.

In which case I would settle for the capital N because now you have a point of reference, if it was good enough for the UK visit visa paperwork it should be good enough for the settlement paperwork.

Just one more thing regarding this subject, it may be a good idea to point the ~ issue out at the VFS application centre when your missus submits her paperwork, just to be 100% certain there will be no comebacks.

Sounds good. Can't remember what we did for the Visit visa but they obviously copied her passport and didn't type Ñ. I might reference back to that in the extra info to give it as the starting example.
Just ask your thought on my earlier posers - So do you think definitely put the middle name in with the Given Name section then? And would the English test cert not having the middle name be a possible issue?

    Below is the take on names as the UKVI see it, if I was asked for my given name(s) I would be putting my first and middle name;

1.1 Given name(s) (as shown in your passport)

These are all the names you were given at birth, but not your family/

surname. They must be the same as recorded in your passport.

Please do not use titles such as Mr, Snr or Esq.

1.2 Family name (as shown in your passport)

The name by which your family is known (also known as surname/

last name) and must be as recorded in your passport. Please do not

    use titles such as Snr.

Yep saw that, was holding onto a filipino Given Name being just the first name, but the guidance is clear. I'll put the middle name and hope the English test cert missing the middle name is still accepted. Thanks for your thought Timmers :)

Hi @Jhen_24 I checked this just recently - as long as you have your pay slip and bank statements and employment letter stating your gross annual salary, you will be OK without the P60 :like:

Hi Kat, So that's the one you paid after you filed the application form in VFS? Shocks a lot hehehe :)

Actually, I paid it when I submitted the online form. Then I just booked an appointment in vfs for the documents.

Yeah, the fiance visa fee is really expensive. I paid a lot just to be with my partner in the UK so she better be worth it!!!

Hi folks. Can I just check what additional ID my fiancé Kris ( @inaroiles ) will need - in addition to her passport - when she attends VFS for her settlement visa appointment. Many thanks.

Birth certificate I think Gerry, nothing else. Previous passport if it's got relevant travel stamps. Then the TB certificate and English test certificate :)

Spooky, we're also waiting on her English test from last week - our ladies may have been sat together?!

Lol... Actually Kris was partnered with a guy. She sat the test with IDP in Marco Polo last Wednesday. Good luck to your partner - I'm sure she'll pass!
