That's what I've thought also. Hahahha. In my application, I just put my name and surname. They didn't ask about my middle name so I didnt include it.

And it's as if the eco would deny your visa just because you didn't write your middle name. Haha :D

If the form doesn't asks for your middle name, don't put anything. Be straightforward as you can be. Just the first name -- Arnold and last name -- Basada. No more, no less. :like:

Your given name on the applocation should say -- Arnold Guevarra and surname (last name) -- Basada.

Might be quite confusing especially for us Filipinos since in all our forms it always asks separately for Given Name, Middle Name and Surname but doesn't work like that in the UK so you'd be expected to put your middle name after your name Arnold in the form.

Don't see the point arguing it with your wife. Get yourselves sorted :cat:

Is it? I think I've only put my first name -- no middle name.
Crap! But in my visa, my correct name is stated though. Your system is a bit confusing. But thanks for pointing out this @Mattecube I will surely apply this in the UK.

Thanks to all who showed concern even if it's just a very simple question that can lead to mistake. I wouldn't bother to ask if I'm sure with what I'm doing. Thank you as well for the other members who find it funny. One thing I can say, I don't give a F*#$!

Hi guys! What is the difference between category A and category B when it comes to financial requirements? My wife has got 2 jobs in the UK. 1st job she gets paid monthly but gross income varies depending on the hours she worked. 2nd job she gets paid weekly and again gross income varies depending on the hours. How do we calculate the annual gross income for both jobs. Still confused if we're on category a or b. Salaried or non-salariedemployment. Please help

    Many Thanks

Category A is when you are with employer in salaried or non salaried at least 6 months or more and has two sub category:

    1) Salaried -- i.e where your pay or hours are fixed and normally they mention how much it will be per annum on contract and they will take lowest salary of last 6 month and will multiply it with 12 to see whether you satisfy the income requirement.

    2) Non salaried of Category A is where you work on hourly rate and your pay/hours vary each week/month and here they will add all 6 months salary and will divide it by 6 and then multiply with 12 to calculate how much you make per annum....

Category B is where you are with employer less than 6 months or you are not making required amount in 6 months or work two jobs or irregular shift patern where some months you dont earn etc..

So you will be applying under Category A (with two jobs) under non salaried income.

I hope that clear things up. ;)

Just make sure that the two sets of 6 months payslips your wife has given you amount to £9,300 + for the 6 month period, very important, if they don't but your wife meets the requirement over 12 months then you will have to apply under Category B which is for people who have been with the company less than 6 months or have a variable income.

If there is any doubt the UKVI will just take the lowest payslip given and times it by twelve to see you meet the requirement.

It is important you read the Appendix FM 1.7 financial requirement notes and see which Category you fall into, only you and your wife knows your financial status 100%
