Hello again everyone! I just want to share the message I received from UKVI this morning.

"Your visa will be despatched shortly. Passports can normally be collected from the Visa Application Centre after 3 days depending on which country you applied from or will be couriered back to you only if you have availed of this service. UKVI"

I still can't believe what I'm seeing. Kinda speechless and I don't know what to do next. All I can say is many many thanks to the wonderful people here in this forum. Special mention to Timmers and the rest of the gang:cool:

Absolutely fantastic Anne, all in just twenty days, I know from my own recent experience that it will take a little while to sink in.

I bet it feels a surreal experience for you, I'm sure you will enjoy our wonderful land.

Where will you be living in the UK?

@LisaUK , Thanks! We will wait for you to post a similar thread as well :like:
@JohnAsh, yeah, I didn't expect it to be so quick.
@Timmers, did the missus avail the courier service? I haven't ticked any kind of notification or delivery service upon application. Will I just knock VFS' doors down after 3 days??o_O
Will be staying in Gloucester, by the way.

My wife used the courier service so it was delivered to her house.

The VFS officer gave me a time frame of 1-3 months right after my biometrics. They said that some applicants will have their visa approved as early as a month or as late as nearly 4 months. I was really surprised to see the the e-mail from UKVI when I went home from work. This is even my first day with my new job! Lol:D

The missus got the visa the day after the email as she availed to the courier service.

I can assure you 100% that Gloucester is a lovely place, I worked for a company there for ten years and frequently stopped there, I feel happy for you, enjoy the relief, enjoy the moment :)

That's convenient. How many days difference between UKVI e-mail notification and the delivery of the documents??

Lol, a little white lie here and there won't do any harm. Typical that you just started that job though!! I feel very happy for you, and I hope we won't be far behind :)

Just 2 or 3 days, I seem to remember. We talked about her going in to collect it but she decided to sit and wait for it and her returned documents.

Congratulations to you Anne! Hope my application will be fast as yours.

I will apply on October because I'm still waiting for my husband's payslip to fit in the financial requirement. By the way, did you submit nib clearance when you give your application? Also, where should I put all the documents that I will be submitting? I read somewhere that they are removing it when folder was used.

    Thanks!
