Timmers, thanks for your reply. I'm "PTPC's" worse half in the UK , we have tried 3 times so far with 2 visit attempts and 1 unmarried partner attempt and all been rejected, I even appealed a decision and went to the tribunal court in Bradford. It has been a whirlwind of emotions from anger, sorrow all the way to determination. Needless to say it has strained our relationship but we will work through it. Apologies for not introducing ourselves but we will, we are just trying to get our ducks in a row.... We are planning a cruise ship wedding at this point...
Hi @drivebymike If your wife wants to come to the UK on a Fiancée Visa, an application in your daughter's name for a settlement visa would also be required to bring your daughter to the UK - NOT a Visit Visa for your daughter. The reason is that a Fiancée Visa is a settlement visa, so your daughter should also apply for a settlement visa. Unfortunately, I don't know the ins and outs on applying for a child as I have none. Hopefully @Micawber will reply as he is the real expert here.
Does it add a complication that she would be classed as a step daughter? As much as I treat her as my actual daughter though
I think you could need permission from the Philippine authorities and the younger she is the easier that probably is. I think if she is 7 or younger then custody of the child generally goes to the mother, under Philippines law. But, as I say, I have no children so it is not something I have had to explore.
Just come across this -admittedly very old - Post, so not sure that the OP will still be active? Just curious what reasons UKVI gave for the FOUR refused previous Visa applications?
