The UKVI does ask for a letter from the employer stating how long they have worked for the company, whether the position is temporary or permanent, the salary and how long that salary has been paid for. You have submitted at least six months payslips and bank statements which also gives them the information they ask for. They may not like the fact that they have to work to piece together your financial details, I don't know. The fact you have submitted his contract should help, it will show his start date, salary and that he is permanent. We submitted my contract and a letter from my employer.

You only submitted the visa a few days back, will be a little while yet before you know the outcome, in my opinion you have given them the information they need but not in the format they ask for. You will be okay.

I notice from your post that you are applying for a Unmarried Partner visa (I thought that was for same sex couples but I'm obviously wrong), I think that could be a first here at British Filipino, I will be very interested to know how you get on.

    Good luck young lady :)

I hope that letter wouldn't be a reason for a refusal and the fact that the contract submitted is not the original :( gutted now tbh

I think its for people who has cohabited for more than 2.5 years and have lived like married people...something like that at least :)

Yes you're right, we had a discussion here about it a few weeks back, you just have to prove to the UKVI you have lived as a married couple for 2.5 years.

By the way, the average time people have been waiting for their decision (here at BF) is around the 40/50 days mark so don't do too much worrying :)

It is difficult to be separated from the ones you love, always makes me wonder how people kept in touch before the advent of instant messaging and webcam.

I was working in the Philippines years back and got talking to a hotel receptionist who had a British boyfriend, they kept in touch by letter, can you imagine that?

The vast majority of relationships here at British Filipino would never have started and certainly not lasted but for the internet. :)

All documents are ready now. The only problem I think is the council tax statement with just his dad's name on it. I asked them to sort it out but his dad refused to do it. If we ask them to add his name on it, it might take time.
We have a copy of his driving license notarized by the solicitor along with the stamped pages of his passport. Im so worried that the ECO needs the council tax statement as proof of accommodation. His payslips. driving license and other docs will show he lives in the same address but if they r going to require his name on the council tax statement then that's gonna be a big problem.
Can anyone share their opinion on this?:(

I don't see it being a problem. Would have thought the driving license does the trick and your bank statements will link to same address, as well as any bill.

Supposedly the guidance sheet states that it doesn't expect all that is listed to be provided.

You've nothing to be worried about.

I think the UKVI will understand as it is the Father that owns or rents the property, they must have encountered this situation many times before.

Remember the UKVI does not ask specifically for a council tax statement, it is just one of the documents they state you can use as proof of address.

    Hello again :)

If the the latest payslip is dated Nov11, when should we forward the docs?
Is there any specific deadline or smthn?

That should be fine, my payslips were nearly a month old before submitting, someone here at BF mentioned that the payslips should not be more than 30 days old. In theory the payslips could be 3 months old before they even get around to your application.

Always better to give them the most up to date documents you can, at least then you know there will be no comebacks.

Does anyone know if the 2nd page of the Sponsorship Form should be filled out as well? Its 2pages, he signed the first one and left the 2nd page blank.

The SU7/12 is not technically a requirement (I didn't submit) but I know one or two people here have submitted it, a few weeks ago the very subject was brought up here and I wondered what the form was for.

Position of SU07/12 form for those on family route (partner/spouse) is that it isn't required, as their UK sponsor is assumed to take responsibility for the applicant without recourse to public funds. Some overseas visa agents request it, and if that's the case, it's best to comply and not insist they are wrong
