All the best with the application HanLan, I know from my own experience that you breath a sigh of relief when you finally submit the visa application. You'll be in the UK before you know it
I feel relieved when I hand in all the docs. My hands were shaking a lil bit while filling out the form given by the security guard. I really thought I'm gonna be late for my appointment as I had to go back home for my passport. So stressful sorting out all the papers, a tough job trying to gather everything on time.
Well, its all done now, just sit back and wait, I'd have been in panic mode too if I'd have left my passport at home too Its amazing how much paperwork you gather and how cluttered your computer becomes during the application preparation before submission.
I want to say thank you to all of you who answered all my queries while I was sorting out the docs needed for the visa application. A bit nervous, hoping to be with my husband soon. We missed two wedding aniv already.
Timmers is right, you may go look forward on the 3rd anniversary of yours. My husband and I never celebrated 'anniversaries' as girlfriend-boyfriend for 4 years!
There is one thing I know, Filipinos are very good at coping with being thousands of miles away from their loved ones.
My wife submitted her application a few weeks ago, VFS didn't confirm submission to Embassy by SMS, so inquired about submission using the Gov.uk site. http://www.british-filipino.com/ind...tside-uk-including-application-progress.9896/ They responded quickly and stated that it was at the Embassy, but an Entry Clearance Officer hasn't started assessing the application yet. So been over 2 weeks gathering dust. I'm not impressed by VFS not even confirming by SMS that the application has at least been delivered.... The SMS application form still states that the application can be tracked free online (but doesn't exist any more). There is a VFS e-mail address too, but they have never replied.
You sound surprised One World about the flimsy service they provide for us, what do you expect for a thousand pounds, a fast, efficient and reliable service?
Not surprised about delays, due to a lack of ECO personnel. But would have expected better of VFS Global, especially as they have been granted contract for dealing with Visa applications throughout the world. Potentially, the application may never have even left VFS offices????
Your partners might want to answer the survey VFS sends to applicants days after they send an e-mail of the result
Above are the 2 Guidance notes I was referring to post #46 of this thread. It took me awhile to share this with you or shall I say I had a hard time posting images in the forum As some of you have known my then fiancé and I started studying the Settlement for Marriage visa (Fiancé/Fiancée Visa) application process since 2012. Back then I was able to go to VFS Manila for enquiries and the kind agent there gave me these. It wasn't easy understanding and deciphering the UKVI rules until I went to VFS Cebu branch telling me that VFS does not cater in-person enquiries anymore and rather gave me a piece of paper with the website https://www.gov.uk/browse/visas-immigration . This explains how we organized our document in such order http://british-filipino.com/index.php?threads/after-20-calendar-days.9294/page-3 Please take note of the Disclaimer and be updated of the new rules in the UKVI site. I would also like to add that there are changes such as the payment process, it is entirely online today rather than paying by using cheques.
Hi, Sorry as this is my first post here, and I have searched but not found the answer, or perhaps I just cant see it for looking. I am now on my 4th attempt at applying for a visa, however this time we are looking at the fiance, but I also want to take my daughter who is 11 yrs old and a Filipino citizen. Whilst I know what visa I should file for, I am not sure what I should submit for my daughter. Is it a regular visitor visa? Will she have to return after the 6 months and file seperately outside of the UK? I'm scared that we might be applying for a wrong visa for my daughter which could result to a negative decision and it's going to be a waste of time and money. Many Thanks for your help
I am guessing that you have had four UK visit visas declined and now you want to enter the UK with your daughter on a Fiancee visa, if that is the case then take a look at the link below, you will find most of the information you need in this thread; http://www.british-filipino.com/ind...r-a-partner-spouse-visa-under-new-rules.5740/
Thank you, Timmers! I've read the link, its very helpful. However, I would also like to take my daughter (a filipino citizen) with me. Would you know what type of visa I should apply for her?
She will apply with you using the same form if she is your dependant. See the financial part of the application below (always check for the most up to date edition);
