I will try to find links to the furnished property my wife and I rented for one month in Talamban, Cebu when we got married in March - just 13,000 Pesos! They offer daily and weekly rates too. It was fairly suitable for my disability too, except for the shower - so my wife had to help me with that, but I did not mind!
That was a nice place you had - 60 metres from the beach, if I recall correctly Cebu is a boom town with a load of investment into jobs - I'm told four new call centres have opened in the last two years. This is placing a strain on housing so I'd not be at all surprised to learn that you'd have to pay at least double what you paid four years' ago, should you want to rent it now.
doubt it my missus is in regular contact with the land lady we had it for a year and the last 6 months was only 5000 after i left its still way outside a locals rental call center or shipbuilder
The owner is in the US, the chap that manages the homes for him is a police officer, nice bloke, it is a good deal but we do have to fix all fundamental issues like burst pipes and electrical issues, that was written into the contract and I always found that a bit unfair, but can't complain given the rent has stayed the same for 7.5 years, price has only gone up due to movement in the exchange rate, I think it was about 82 ish when we moved there. The 27sqm condo in Malate that we left was costing me 11,000 a month by comparison plus 1500 monthly association fees, so it was a good deal. We had to move at the time due to expanding family but I do miss the condo, the facilities were great, roof pool and gym, security was great and the view was fantastic out over the bay, plus it was even quite cool at night because we were so high up (22nd floor). If I had the money I would be quite happy to have a condo again but would want a bigger one,
