Hello...just wondering if I send by post in the Philippine Embassy London the Power of Attorney for Authentication or notarization, how long will it take for me to get it back? and do I need to have it notarized by our local solicitor? I have tried taking for notarization to the solicitor the Power of Attorney form that I have obtained from the Philippine Embassy London website but they refused to notarized coz there has none there that it says that they needed to be notarized before sending to the embassy. I am really confused now.

Hello...did u have to get a SPA for your mum for accompanying your son to the TB testing center, VFS and CFO? I am quite worried now coz I didn't know about that, just thought about it jow when they are already have an appointment.

    Hi ya!
The TB and VFS does not require an SPA. I just made an authorization letter and attached a copy of my passport to authorized my parents to accompany my children in having their xrays done and applying at the VFs. Im not quite sure about the CFO as im still waiting for the results of the visa application. But I will ask my mother if she could ring up the CFO to ask about the SPA then I'll let you know.

Thank u Darren&Clarice. My son's application was successfully submitted already last 5ht of October without them asking for SPA or authorisation for my mum. I just received an email asking me 2 questions which I know some of the people here encountered. Where was I during the conception and proof that I have been visiting my sons. I just sent them an email back my answer. Hope it will all be fine.

    Hello Ginger,
Its my pleasure to have helped.
We had the same email from the Embassy asking for more documents. Asking for copies of stamped immigration on your passports showing you have been travelling and visiting your children in the Philippines. I have even provided extra photographs but that dont seem to matter with them?
Second question was, where was I when I was conceiving or when I gave birth to my children. Well, every evidence regarding that is showing on to their NSO birth certificate. Obviously that was not enough. I couldn't take photographs of myself in the middle of giving birth or take pictures every single minute.
Im not being funny but ofcourse I wouldn't just leave my new born baby as soon as I give birth?

Then a week after, they called my mother for an Interview just over the phone. And she was told to wait or keep an eye on her phones incase they need to call again. If not, they will send a text or email. And since then we've not heard anything.

I wish you all the best in your childs application.

Thanks for your reply. By the way, what type of visa u have now? are u still on FLR? did u have to pay for IHS of your child. We thought we did not have to but after the embassy received the documents of my sons, they sent me an email requesting for payment at it surprised us coz it was actually £ 700 per child. Actually, it was more than that but we sent and email back asking them why it was much so they changed it but still my husband thought it is still way too high. I just thought then maybe that is for 5 year route maybe they will straight be given a 5 year visa compared to me who has to apply again after 2.5 years. And also, did u post here all the documents u sent for your child and how u did the application. If u did, can I ask for a link pls? I just wanna see if I missed something like what are the proofs u submitted for the sole responsibility to your child. I am sorry for the long message. Thank you

wow good for u then...we paid about £650 for each of my boys and 350 for the conversion charge that made it 3700 each. We don't really understand how they compute it.

Hi I wonder if you can help me.
On the application form in the under 18 tab it asks who are you staying with in the UK when I put my husbands details in it allows us to put the relationship as stepfather which is great but when I fill in my details there is no option for mother .
Do I put other relative? Or spouse/civil partner?
Please help as this is very confusing
