You're home and dry now Josh, you now have that surreal feeling to look forward to now when you see your missus walking through the arrivals hall in the UK, its a great feeling as many here can vouch for :)

Nice, I think I mentioned it in this thread a couple of weeks ago. As long as there is already a visa and the interviewer is satisfied, CFO sticker will be issued. Glad to see it validated. Congrats again :like:

    That's interesting to hear.
My wifes Vignette stamp is for next month also.
I May try send her sooner if they issue stickers before hand.
This can have a bearing on the date i book the flight.

Thanks again and so true! These last few months since being married but alone here have been tough and I'm looking forward to not feeling so crap! Looking forward to seeing my asawa walking towards me :kiss::D
Thanks very much mate! Interesting you'd found this too, a sensible progression of their bureaucracy finally, perhaps :)
I'd definitely recommend it. Similar to us, we'd allowed a few extra days to get the sticker done and I haven't booked a flight yet, so if it's all done in advance that's one less hurdle to plan for :like:

I'd add the titbit that Jasmin mentioned she and two others were already married and on Spouse visas - all three received the sticker, whereas the majority who were on Fiancée visas only received the certificate.

Wow well done. My fiance is due to fly out on the night of 1st May which is the same date as her visa start date. We were hoping to get the sticker on the same morning. When she attended the seminar they informed her they will be closed 1st May as it is a national holiday. They said she will have to get a sticker a couple of days before by meeting a cfo representative at the airport. Currently trying to arrange this which is proving to be a bit of an issue.
Has anyone had a similar situation and managed to get this to work?

That's a tight schedule! From what I've read here there are officials at NAIA and you need to arrange a visit to them a couple days in advance so they're in the office in the right terminal, but I'm only going off people's accounts here and others will know better details.

You're right, if the sticker is to be done at the airport then I believe they need advance warning, I cannot remember the notice they need and at which terminal you have to attend etc. I think a phone call will be in order there.

We have discussed this before but I do not know of anyone here who has obtained the sticker at the airport, all I know is it can be done.

As you say, to tight a schedule for our liking :)

I'd be a nervous wreck waiting for the call to say she has the sticker :)

Bit of an update, They gave my fiancé an email address to send a message to. The girl there replied and said it may be ok to get the sticker at the airport of the Friday and has given her a phone number for the airport cfo office.
My fiancé will call this number on Monday to try to confirm the arrangements for getting the sticker.
Hopefully it will be possible to get it before the day of the flight but am not too optimistic about this.
    All a bit stressful.

Thanks I had looked at the link. The numbers are a bit different to what we have been provided with by the cfo in their email.
Reading the email myself it seems you have to ring them (2 days before the flight) to arrange meet with them to get the visa in the airport just before the flight. So is a tighter schedule than I first thought.

"You have to coordinate with our CFO personnel in NAIA regarding the stamping of CFO sticker 2 days before your flight. You have to give your flight details so he/she can make arrangements where and what time to meet you."

I am full of doubt that this will go smoothly.

The two days before thing rings a bell Phil, think as long as you make that arrangement with the flight details and terminal it should be fine.

Thanks. It is indeed the process. She rang the terminal 1 CFO number (provided in the email) and it was disconnected. Luckily the mobile number also provided was working.
They advised she should call the number again a day or two before her journey and provide her flight details. They would then arrange to meet her at the airport 3 hours before her flight to provide the sticker in her passport. They also confirmed they work 7 days a week including any holiday days.
So we feel a bit more optimistic than we did yesterday.

It does sound straight forward but we have to remember that it is the Philippines, champagne on ice not corked :)

I'm sure everything will be fine :)

Please let us know how you get on @UKPhil as it will be very helpful for others :)

"The decision on your UK visa application with reference number GWFxxxxxxxxx has been made. If you opted for courier delivery at the time of submission, your passport will be delivered to your chosen address. Alternatively, you may collect your passport at the VAC from 14:00 – 16:00 Monday – Friday except on Embassy declared holidays."
I have finally received a message from VFS. I'm shaking so much after reading the message and getting nervous with the result.
So, I'm wondering what's the next step once I've got my visa? How to set an appointment for CFO (Manila)?
